Cataratas del Iguazú (Iguazu Falls)
On 14th April 2014, a Souvenir Sheet with four stamps was issued by Argentine Postal authorities, Correo Argentino, featuring Cataratas del Iguazú (Iguazu Falls), a Natural World Heritage since 1984.
Iguazú Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentina province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu. The Iguazu River rises near the city of Curitiba. The river flows through Brazil for most of its course, although most of the falls are on the Argentine side. Below its confluence with the San Antonio River, the Iguazu River forms the boundary between Argentina and Brazil.
The Iguazú Falls span the border between Argentina and Brazil. Some 80 m high and 3 km wide, the falls are made up of many cascades that generate vast sprays of water and produce one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world.
Iguazu Falls is considered as the great natural wonders of South America and declared one of the new Wonders of Nature in 2011. The Iguazu Falls are located 24 km east of where the Iguazu River connects with the Parana River. From island-studded rapids above, approximately 275 separate cataracts plunge down a 3 km slope on the edge of the Parana Plateau to a narrow gorge some 80 m below. The Iguazu Falls surpass Niagara Falls in size, ranging in height from 60 to 80 m. In the dry season two crescents of water are formed, each 730 m wide; in the wet season the two merge into one vast waterfall.
The vegetation, found around the waterfall, is mostly subtropical wet forest rich in lianas and epiphytes, although the forests have less species diversity when compared with others in Brazil and parts of Paraguay. Nonetheless, over 2,000 species of vascular plant have been identified. Vegetation around falls is particularly luxuriant due to the constant spray. The site is particularly rich in bird species with almost half of Argentina's bird species found there.

In metallic ink synthetically outlines the circuits of the route, points of interest and references to activities within the Park on the other side of sheet. Flags of Brazil and Argentina indicating the international boundary are also depicted at the bottom.
$10 stamp on the left side is depicted with Devil's Throat in the background of the stamp. The Devil's Throat is U-shaped, 82 m high, 150 m wide, and 700 m long chasm where about half of river’s flow falls. In the foreground of this stamp Large Toucan (Ramphastos toco) is depicted.
$10 stamp on the right side is depicted with Label: Panoramic view of the St. Martin falls and Isla (island) San Martin.
$8 stamp on the left side is depicted with Zafiro Admiral Butterfly (Doxocopa cute Mileta).
$8 stamp on the right side is depicted with Zebra plant (Billbergia zebrina)
Though this Souvenir sheet is featuring Iguazu Waterfall, but it will be liked by philatelists working on the various themes.
