Stamps on Colombian football team
Date of Issue : 23 May 2014
It is football time and here are two new stamps from Colombia. The design of the new postage stamps produced by Colombian Post is based on a leaf block consists of 2 stamps of different size.
The first illustrates the shield of the Colombian Football Federation, the governing body of the sport, moving forward from the traditional ball on a yellow background.
The second depicts the network of lines. It is a version of the logo of the federation which is placed in a hexagonal pattern, symbol widely used to represent the cohesion and teamwork.

Shradhanjali from Shri Ashok Kumar Bayanwala:
Yesterday on 11th July 2014, I have lost an inspiring friend, Shri Harshwardhan C. Mehta and Indian Philately has lost a doyen of Modern Indian Philately.
My association with Shri H. C. Mehta started from 1973 onwards. He used to push me in Modern Indian Philately though he had a vast knowledge of most of the side lines of Pre Independence Indian Philately. He had an unparallel collection of Modern Indian Philately.
I convey my heartfelt condolences and pray to the Almighty to Rest His Soul in Peace.
