On occasion of 450th birthday of William Shakespeare Polish Post released a special stamp and postal stationery. The stamp depicts of the illustrations to the works of this great writer.
Shakespeare’s birthday is celebrated in Stratford-upon-Avon and around the world every April, and this year is bigger than ever as Shakespeare turns 450 years young. Here in Stratford the streets were overflown with music, pageantry and drama as the birthday weekend brings together performers, artists, and ambassadors from around the world in a vibrant celebration of the life and works of William Shakespeare.
